New Feature: Conversation Starters

The War On Cancer app is a community for anyone impacted by cancer to connect with others who know what it’s like. It’s a place to share experiences, ask questions, gain support, and belong.

Sometimes, it’s hard to know where to start. Whether you’re experiencing side effects from cancer treatment like chemo brain or simply don’t know what to ask, sometimes all we need is a little nudge to help us help ourselves.

Introducing Conversation Starters

In order to make connecting with others easier to connect and encourage one another, we’re introducing Conversation Starters that suggest relatable questions or thoughts to help you engage with the community when you want to but are a bit at a loss at where to start.

We get by with a little help from our friends – and, sometimes, thoughtful nudges that help spark curiosity to share and learn together with people who understand what cancer can be like.

How do Conversation Starters work?

You can find Conversation Starters in the Community tab in your feed or in your You space. If you find a prompt that you relate to, simply add your thought and share with others. Or, view other answers by tapping on others who have shared already. Read and react peoples’ answers to learn, and share your own thoughts to help others do the same.

You’ll see answers to these prompts in your feed and can tell conversation starter posts apart from others because of their color. These prompts that you’ll find will shuffle and change over time so you don’t get tired of the same questions!
