War On Cancer, a leading health-tech startup aimed at radically improving the wellbeing of those impacted by cancer, has recently announced the appointment of Emma Blackmore as Chief Marketing Officer.
The addition of Emma to War On Cancer’s executive leadership team is driven by the company’s exponential growth objectives and increasing need to amplify the patient voice through patient-reported data. In this newly created role focused on driving growth and creating value, Emma will manage the development and delivery of a comprehensive marketing strategy to help shape the direction of the War On Cancer offering.
War On Cancer is a social network enabling its members – people in and after treatment, their loved ones, and those who simply want to learn more – to connect with others impacted by cancer, share their stories, and provide a support system. In addition, it amplifies the patient voice in cancer research through in-app studies, making it easy for members to contribute their insights and improve the future of cancer care. Data is treated confidentially and can be shared quickly and effectively with researchers and pharmaceutical companies to improve the understanding of cancer, whilst most importantly keeping patients informed about the results of that research.
Prior to joining War On Cancer, Emma worked in New York for WPP strategic communications subsidiary, Richard Attias & Associates, and BritishAmerican Business. Most recently she moves from Matter Of Form, a brand and experience design consultancy, where she was Group Marketing Director. She also spent the last 12 months running her own marketing consultancy, working with Deloitte and the NHS amongst other clients.
